'Orange Poached Rooms' - Zine

£5.00

'Orange Poached rooms' is a 36 page full colour zine made up of abstracted crops taken from the pamphlet ‘120 ways of using Bread.’ originally published in the 1940’s.
By extracting and zooming in, the original garish photos of cakes, puddings and sandwiches become almost unrecognisable, and instead turn into abstract or impressionistic compositions. Well, that’s the idea anyway.

The original pamphlet contains 127 recipes that unsurprisingly use bread as the main ingredient. Recipes include such classics as ‘Bread Jelly’, ‘Cold Meat Shape’, and ‘Toast Water.’ Although these recipes don’t feature in this zine, (Boo), each copy comes with a small copy of one of my favourite bread based recipes for you to make at home. 🍞
